Director of Fundraising Operations, Cindy Baskin leads the strategic marketing and communications efforts for IFTF’s Foresight Essentials training program. A cross-functional leader, she supports the improvement of operations across IFTF, managing and contributing to a wide range of futures research studies, including the future of communication, news, media, gaming, technology, insurance, learning, education, caregiving, transportation, and work/workers. Prior to joining IFTF, Cindy served as executive assistant to Jennifer Siebel Newsom, San Francisco’s former First Lady/Partner, and helped launch The Representation Project, a nonprofit social action movement that seeks to transform culture through film and media. She began her career at San Francisco’s Mayor’s Office of Protocol, engaging in international diplomatic activities and civic event planning. Cindy graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A. in History and minor in Business Management magna cum laude, Phi Alpha Theta, and Phi Beta Kappa. She also spent one year studying abroad at Sweden’s Uppsala University.
